Emotion’s War Poem

Photo by Jude Beck on Unsplash

Turn the time

Of the winding clock

Inner battles on and lost

Yet so bravely fought.

Emotion’s soldiers

March with pride.

But the pain it last

Riding on the blood-filled tide.

The war rages within

Bringing pain and despair.

To allies I turn

But no one is there.

Hold fast the hope

Loving hope is on the way.

Fore should I fight alone

I shall surely lose the day.
